Frequently Asked Questions

Spick & Span bin cleaning is more than a quick rinse with water and deodorizing spray. Trash and recycling bins can become a breeding ground for harmful fungus and bacteria including Tuberculosis, Strep, staph, E-Coli, Salmonella & Listeria. A proper bin cleaning disinfects you bin to stop these germs in their tracks.

Before cleaning, bins are checked and any debris is removed. If any trash bags are in the bin, they will be set aside and returned to the bin after cleaning.

Next, your trash or recycling bin is placed inside a specially designed, fully self-contained pressure washing chamber. You bin is blasted with hot water and a specialized cleaning solution by a high-speed, rotating pressure nozzle. This process kills 99% of bacteria. All waste water produced from this process is contained for proper disposal and never released into storm drains.

After your bin has been cleaned, it is returned to the curb and inspected by a trained technician. When the bin passes inspection, it is tagged with an easy-to-remove colored tape and returned to curbside. If you have multiple bins, this process is repeated until all bins have been thoroughly cleaned and deodorized.

In most cases, we offer cleaning services the same day as your trash and recycling collection services. If your cleaning will occur on a different day, our team will contact you to make scheduling arrangements.

Please leave your bins curbside. After your trash pickup has been completed, our cleaning crew will stop by to clean your bin and return it to the curb.

We are certain you will see a difference once your bins have been cleaned, especially after the first cleaning. However, after your trash and recycling bins have been cleaned, we will tag the bins with easy to remove colored tape.

We recommend monthly cleaning services. Regular monthly cleanings are the most effective option for preventing odors and bacterial growth. We also offer bi-monthly and quarterly cleaning services.
